RUTH LAUFFENBERGER HARPER

Ruth Lauffenberger Harper of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on December 29, 2015 at age 85. She was the beloved wife of the late Grafton Harper; sister of Angelina Boaz of California; and aunt of Tia Phillips of New Hampshire. She grew up in Carteret, New Jersey, lived in Australia for nine years, and spent the rest of her life in Washington, DC, and Silver Spring, MD. Ruth traveled extensively, most recently to Istanbul, Turkey. She was very outgoing-there was never a stranger in her life. She was an excellent seamstress, a member of Curves for several years, and a devoted Sunday volunteer at Brookside Gardens. Graveside services and interment at Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Brookside Gardens, 1800 Glenallen Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20902.
