WILLIAM ARCHER HAGINS, JR.
On Wednesday, June 6, 2012 of Chevy Chase, MD. Beloved husband of Frances Mackay Hagins. Dr. Hagins was employed by NIH from 1958 until his retirement as Chief of the Membrane Biophysics Section of the Laboratory of Chemical Physics in 2007. His work there brought basic understanding to the initial processes involved in vision. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) on Tuesday, June 19, from 3 to 5 p.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad, Inc. 5020 Battery Lane, Bethesda, MD 20814.
