On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, of Rehoboth Beach, DE and formerly of Bethesda, MD. Beloved husband of 64 years to Mary O’Connor Haggerty; son of the late Ann and William Haggerty; father of Mary Ann (Jon) Winborne, Kathleen (John) Ragland, Patricia (Greg) Sigler, Denise (Mike) McGowan, William (Barbara), Walter (Sydney), Brian and Michael (Roz) Haggerty; brother of Marie Sullivan and the late Charles, Edward, and Sister Dorothy Haggerty, SJ. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Avenue and Cable Drive, Kensington, MD, on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 10:30 to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
