Of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2016. Her sons Joe (Eileen) and Larry (Hannah) were at her side. Her son, Steve (Marilyn) could not be present. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Joseph P. Gaffigan, in 1978; and her husband of 25 years, Paul Haggerty in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Gaffigan, killed in Vietnam in 1970, and granddaughter, Ann Marie Romano, in 2001. Along with her three sons, she is survived by eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
