On Thursday, April 7, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. He was born May 11, 1924 in Hawkinsville, GA, the son of the late Eli W. and Christine Brinkley Goode. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in the Class of 1946 that was graduated in June, 1945. Warren transferred to the Navy Reserve in 1947 and began a career with the Acacia Mutual Life Insurance Company, interrupted by his return to active navy service during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by Melinda Morrison Goode, his wife of 55 years; and was survived by his companion, Ruth Jean Davis, for the last 14 years. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and an associate member of Village Protestant Church, both in Silver Spring, MD A Memorial Service and reception will be held at Chapel at Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD, on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1 p.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910 or the Alzheimer”s Association.
