Julio Francisco Gonzalez, age 99, of Silver Spring, MD peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 31, 2019. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a WWII POW and awarded several Bronze Stars and various other medals. He was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico and moved to New York City as a child. He was employed by the Government Printing Office in Washington, DC where he retired. He is survived by his loving wife of 76 years Mary O Gonzalez. He was the loving Father of two Daughters Abigail E. Holmes and Damaris M. Feller (Larry) and Blessed with four Grandsons Jason Feller, Brendon Feller, Joshua Holmes and Zachary Holmes and three Great-Grandsons and one Great-Granddaughter. Visitation will be held at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd, West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking), Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm where Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11:00 am. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD.
