MAUREEN A. GERAGHTY (Age 89)

On Sunday, October 11, 2015, originally of Takoma Park, MD, later a resident of Leisure World, MD. Beloved daughter of the late Richard K. and Winifred W. Geraghty. Survived by cousin Michael V. Needham and his wife Mary-Anne. A 1950 Graduate of Catholic University School of Nursing. Immediately after college she worked in a private medical practice in Seattle WA. In 1956 she joined the United Mine Workers of America Union Hospital in Beckley, WVA. In 1962 she joined the infection control staff at the V.A. Hospital in Washington DC, from which she retired. Private Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association , Nat’l Capital Area Chapter, 3701 Pender Drive, Suite 400, Fairfax, VA 22030.
