ELAINE TODD THOMAS FUNK (Age 92)

On December 24, 2013 of Rockville, MD. Born in Northampton, MA in 1921. She came to Washington DC in 1945 and worked as a secretary at the Atomic Energy Commission during the Manhattan Project development. Beloved wife of the late Franklin Harrison Funk; mother of Richard Todd Funk and mother-in-law of Lucy Ann Funk; sister of the late Donald McHardy Ferguson; grandmother of Joy Rebekah Todd Funk, Bethany Christina Funk and Joseph Franklin Funk. Also remembered by Lucy’s mother Antonina Sambuco; Lucy’s siblings Roseanne, Paul, Therese, and Carmel, in addition to many loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, December 30, from 10 to 11 a.m., where funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment Rock Creek Cemetery.
