Our beloved mother Bettye Ann Folz of Rockville, MD passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 22, 2015. Bettye was born May 22, 1940 in Evansville, Ind. the fifth of 10 children to Joseph and Esther (Scheessele) Browning. She married Robert “Bob” Folz in 1962. They had three girls. Widowed in 1975, she raised the girls on her own. She worked at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic High School for 20+ years. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and three sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Denise (Scott) Madgey, Cheryl (Jared) McArthur, Kim (Phil) Perez; special niece Michaela Cass; six grandchildren, two brothers, four sisters and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) on Friday, November 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Norbeck and Muncaster Mill Roads, Rockville, MD on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the scholarship fund at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, Olney, MD.
