EDWARD J. FANNING (Age 88)

On Tuesday, March 17, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Torpey Fanning; father of Mary (Edward) Ruprecht, Elizabeth Clarke, Patricia (Steve) Austin and John (Zeny) Fanning; grandfather of Michelle (Andrew) Robinson, Katy Ruprecht, Jennifer Fanning, Kristen Clarke, Steven Austin, Michael Fanning, Catherine Austin, and Kevin Ruprecht; great-grandfather of Kahlei Ruprecht-Moorman, Riyah Fanning, Drew Anne Robinson; brother of George Eugene and the late Jerome and Rev. Raymond Fanning. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD, on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 1 p.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
