HESTER RYAN HARPER ESSEX (Age 100)

On Monday, November 1, 2010, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Bernard Essex and the late Jewel R. Harper; mother of the late Timothy Ryan Harper. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Washington, DC, Hester graduated from St. Cecelia’s Academy and Strayer College. She worked as a secretary for Pepco and, after retiring from there, worked at Montgomery College. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew Apostle Catholic Church, Arcola Ave and Kemp Mill Rd, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, November 8 at 11 a.m. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park.
