On July 6, 2013, he married Emma Elizabeth Tollefsen in Alton, NH. Survivors include his wife, Emma; daughter, Charlotte Esherick; and a second daughter due in the Fall; parents, Kirk and Nancy Esherick; brothers, Kevin and Christian Esherick; paternal grandfather, George Esherick; and maternal grandparents, William and Joan Clinton.
