On September 17, 2018 Wilma Harmon Dunlap died at age of 92 peacefully in her home in Silver Spring, MD with her family by her side. Born to Wilburn and Cora Harmon, Wilma grew up in Akron, OH and Elizabethton, TN. She graduated from Carson Newman College, the first college graduate in her family. She was employed by Ford Motor Co.,
General Motors and the National Cancer Institute at NIH. She considered her most important job to be an active and involved homemaker; raising her three children with intelligence, love, laughter and travel. Wilma provided the tie that bound the family together, planning many family gatherings. Wilma is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years Madison Booth Dunlap; sisters, Arvella Greenwell and Ruth Norris; children, Thomas (Linda) Dunlap, Susan (Steve) Kline, Cynthia (Ken) Gwynn; grandchildren, Jack and Pete (Cameron) Dunlap, Sally (Ben) Levy, Michael and Laura Kline, Amy, David and Matthew Gwynn; great granddaughter Clara Dunlap. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church, 10123 Connecticut Ave, Kensington, MD at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Private Burial in Staunton, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church or Montgomery Hospice
