On Wednesday, May 19, 2010, of Silver Spring, MD formerly of Adelphi, MD. Beloved husband of Dolores Dowling; father of Joseph E. Dowling (Susan), Debora Grooms (Dave), Gemma Moren (Robin) and Robert Dowling (Carina); grandfather of Patrick, Michael, Caitlin, Joseph IV, Christine and Erin; great grandfather of Maggie and Molly. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Camillus Church, 1600 St. Camillus Drive, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 10 a.m. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
