On Tuesday, July 9, 2013, of Germantown, MD. Beloved husband for 38 years of Susan Ann Mummer Dowd; father of Gerald T. Dowd III and Shane Patrick Dowd; brother of Christine Smith (John) and Marlene Zaborsky (Matthew). Also survived by other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, July 14, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Mother Seton Church, 19951 Fr. Hurley Blvd., Germantown, MD, on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment All Souls Cemetery.
