Passed away peacefully at his home in Silver Spring, MD on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. Devoted husband to Lydia Sheaffer Dolan; beloved father of Katy Dolan Castell (Chris) and Amy Dolan Russell (Evan); loving son of Audrey Clark Ballou (Steven) and the late Thomas Maitland Dolan, III; loyal brother of Thomas Maitland Dolan, III and Patrick Clark Dolan; brother-in-law to Thomas Edward Sheaffer and Beth Ann Cutler (Gary); son-in-law to Dorothy Mae Sheaffer; and joyous uncle to Heather, Suzanne, and Stephanie. He also leaves his grand-dog, Cooper. Brian was the co-founder and partner of 1 Volt Associates Inc for nearly 25 years. Family will receive and greet friends at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Colesville Road (at Highland Dr.), Silver Spring, MD 20910 on Friday, December 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends may come celebrate Brian’s life, love of food, friendship, and family at the Memorial Service (also at St. Luke) on Saturday, December 10 at 11 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Johns Hopkins University (Research of Dr. Antonarakis) or Holy Cross Home Care & Hospice.
