May 20 2018:
DIFRANCESCO, Robert E. “Bobby”
Roberto E. DiFrancesco
“Bobby” (Age 61)
Entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Bobby was born in Washington, DC
Family was the most important thing in Bobby’s life. He was born into a large, boisterous Italian family and he had a deep affection for each and every one in it, just as he was cherished by them.
Bobby was a graduate of Albert Einstein High School, class of 1975 and was a member of the golf team.
Bobby discovered a love of music at a young age that he carried throughout his life. He always had a song ready and would often spontaneously sing to his audience. He appreciated good food, especially his mother’s home cooking.
Bobby truly had the definition of a pure and loving heart. He was warm, kind, gentle and compassionate and all through his life he reached out to be a friend to many no matter the situation. He was a generous person who would share whatever he had with his unselfish way of seeing others’ needs.
Bobby was loved deeply and his memory will live on and bring a smile to our faces whenever we think of his special spirit.
Bobby was cherished and cared for my many loving, understanding staff and residents who were like a family to Bobby at the Thomas B. Finan Center. Bobby sang for their entire group daily and he was cared for so much by all of their loving hearts.
Bobby is survived by his devoted mother, Elissa DiFrancesco, his brother Marco DiFrancesco (Cindy), his sisters Amelia Johnson, Giovanna Reckendorf (Peter), Carla Zemil (Stewart) and Franca DiFrancesco (Tammy). He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Kelley Johnson (Justin), Kristen Johnson, Elissa Johnson, Alexandra Reckendorf, Gabrielle Reckendorf, Julianna Reckendorf (Chris), Dina Rollins (Ashby), Nicholas Zemil (Kelly), Victoria Zemil, Marcello DiFrancesco, Alana DiFrancesco, Brandon Coates and Brittany Coates and his great-nephews Evan Strochlic and Benjamin Zemil and great-nieces Eden Rollins and Lane Zemil as well as his uncles Edward Cellini (Diane) and Michael DiFrancesco and aunts Adorna Spertino (Enzo), Josephine Baker, Juanita Campitelli, Helena Cellini, Esther Cellini, Mary Rapisardi and Norma Keightley as well as a host of other loving cousins, relatives and friends.
