ALVIN R. DICKINSON “Al”

On Thursday, August 6, 2009 at age 90. Devoted husband for 54 years of the late Lyn Dickinson; beloved father of Lyndall M. Dickinson. Also survived by a niece, Sharon Smith and her son, Jason Burke. He was a native Washingtonian and graduate of Eastern High School. During World War II he served as a staff sergeant with the 38th Combat Engineers. He worked as a PBX installer for C&P Telephone Company for 40 years. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking), Sunday, 7 to 9 p.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad, 11435 Grandview Ave., Wheaton, MD 20902.
