ANA DEROA (Age 93)

Ana Zamorano DeRoa, 93, passed peacefully on July 26, 2018 at Suburban Hospital. Originally from the State of Mexico, Ana moved to Washington, DC in April of 1959 as a private chef. She continued her career for many years at Maison de Crepe in Bethesda, MD.

Ms. DeRoa is survived by her five sons: Julio DeRoa and wife Arnulfa; Placido DeRoa and wife Carmen; Jose DeRoa and his wife Julia; Sergio DeRoa; and Ricardo Tappan and wife Brenda. In addition, Ana is survived by her God-daughter Patricia Rivas, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), on Monday, July 30, from 7 to 9 pm, where Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 31 at 9 am. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
