On Friday, July 25, 2014, in Silver Spring, MD. Dear Wife of 39 years of Arturo R. de la Cruz, Jr. “Jhun”; mother of Heather Rene de la Cruz (Silver Spring, MD) and Zachary Rodriguez de la Cruz (Silver Spring, MD); daughter of Clayton Whitmore and the late Ethel Willis Fontana; sister of Charlene Spangler of Cambridge, MD; Carlton Whitmore of Austin, TX, Mary Ann “Cissy” Whitmore of Kyle, TX; Leslie Whitmore of Chesapeake, VA, Lauren Whitmore-Falvey of Chesapeake, VA and the late Carl Lee Whitmore, Robert John DiNenna and Charles DiNenna. She was a longtime resident of Washington, DC and Silver Spring, Maryland. Relatives and friends may call at Francis J. Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd W, Silver Spring, MD 20901, on Tuesday, July 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at 11 a.m. at Hampshire View Baptist Church, 360 Ednor Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20905. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
