Of Bethesda, MD on Monday, October 10, 2011. Beloved wife of 57 years to Vice Admiral John “Jack” Costello, U.S.C.G. (Ret.); mother of Sean M. (Stephanie) and Terrence J. (Betty Grace) Costello; grandmother of Benjamin, Catherine, Kevin, Gregory, Mary Margaret, Patrick and Eliana Costello. Lynn was a mother, homemaker, school teacher and spent 15 years as Chairman of the Red Cross Station at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda as well as a volunteer for the cancer clinic there. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, October 16, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Ave & Cable Drive, Kensington, MD on Monday, October 17, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday October 18 at 3 p.m. (Please assemble at the administration building by 2:30 p.m.). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer Church or the American Red Cross Station at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, 8901 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda, MD 20889.
