DOROTHY ANN COBB

On Friday, December 11, 2009, in Lakeland, FL, formerly of Silver Spring, MD. Dorothy (nee Goodman) Cobb began her professional career as a dancer, to include performing with the USO. She later retired from the IRS as an Executive Associate. She and her husband of 62 years, Dick Cobb, were avid travelers and Life Master Tournament bridge players. Dorothy took up karate at age 45 becoming a 1st grade Brown Belt at 50. Her husband, Richard E. “Dick” Cobb died this past August. She is the beloved mother of Richard E. Cobb, Jr.; cherished grandmother of Jake L. Cobb, Lucas R. Cobb, Megan S. Rienzo and Morghan M. Cobb; loving great-grandmother of Samantha Rienzo, Kendra Rienzo, James Lee Cobb, Patricia Evelyn Cobb and Lucas R. Cobb, II. Dorothy is also survived by her sister, Elaine Lankford. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday 2 to 4 p.m., where service will be held on Monday, December 21 at 1 p.m. Interment Rock Creek Cemetery.
