(aka-Bill, Clown name Doddle)
Bill Cliber a long time resident of Rockville, Maryland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 19, 2019 at the age of 77. Bill was born on March 12, 1942 in Washington, D.C. to Emma Ruth Cliber and John A. Cliber. His brother, Jack Cliber ,preceeded him in death in 1989.
Bill met his future wife in junior high school, Bea (Knight) Cliber. He has two children a son, Tony Cliber, a daughter Amy Cliber and multiple pets. Bill Cliber’s trade was an electrician and started working at the White House in 1962. He worked under nine Presidents. An exciting 40 years. He enjoyed being a Boy Scout leader, a father, and a husband. He served at his church, volunteered at Hope Connection and went to Clown Meetings with Kapitol Klowns. He spent his free time going to the beach, doing yard work, neighbor get-togethers, yard sales, golfing and spending time with his family. Bill was also a professional clown and did jobs on the weekends. When he retired in 2004 from the White House, Bill started doing more clown jobs with his wife and daughter.
Bill is survived by his wife Bea Cliber, son Tony Cliber, daughter in-law Debbie Cliber and daughter Amy Cliber, sister-in-law Pat Cliber and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill, your presence we miss, your memory we treasure. Loving you always. Forgetting you NEVER.
In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the diabetic Association, Heart Association or Veirs Mill Baptist Church. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, September 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Viers Mill Baptist Church, 12221 Viers Mill Road, Silver Spring, MD, on Friday, September 27, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
