On Sunday, March 4, 2018, of Hyattsville, MD. Beloved wife of the late William Alonzo Burke; loving and devoted mother of Marsha L. Burke Nicholas; mother-in-law of Victor W. Nicholas; loving and cherished grandmother of William V. and Natalie L. Nicholas; sister of the late Leta, Paul, Kermit, Reba, Kenneth and Helena. Also survived by brother-in-law, Meryl D. Schindel, best friend, Marjie O. Garza, visiting angel, Mariana Garvey, and a host of nieces, nephews and their families. She was born at home on March 24, 1927 to Walter and Leona Mae (Adkins) Scragg in West Hamlin, WV.
