On Tuesday, October 25, 2011, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Mary Buffington and Barbara M. Buffington; father of the late James W. and John T. Buffington; grandfather of Sean Buffington, Kathleen Worth, Karen Orcev, Dawn Waugh, and Angela Buffington; step-father of Frederick Gleitsman; father-in-law of Carolyn Buffington. Also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at Northwood Presbyterian Church, 1200 University Blvd., West, Silver Spring, MD, on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Drive, Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850.
