On Monday, June 9, 2014, of Bethesda, MD. Beloved daughter of the late Leonidas and Sophia Birdas; sister of John (the late Alice) Birdas, Christina Birdas, and Bessie Kyriakis; aunt of Sophia. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Monday, June 16, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m, with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Services will be held at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 36th St and Massachusetts Ave, NW, Washington, DC, on Tuesday, June 17, at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
