MARY ELIZABETH BEAHN

On Tuesday, August 14, 2012, of Derwood, MD. Beloved wife of Thomas J. Beahn, Sr.; mother of Mary Louise (Patrick) Mayer, Thomas J. (Tanja) Beahn, Jr. and John M. (Kimberly) Beahn; Nana of Patrick, Katherine, Thomas III, William, Logan, Elizaveta, Sophia, Ella, and Jack; sister of William Noon. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. Mary was an active member of the Shrine of St. Jude for 46 years and was a leader in supporting numerous charities and activities, including the Seton Guild, the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation, Maryland Right to Life, Our Parish Times, St. Jude’s Parish Council and St. Jude’s Sodality. She was also honored with membership in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem for her work on behalf of the Holy Land Christian community. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20853, on Monday, August 20, at 11 a.m. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine of St. Jude.
