On Saturday, December 17, 2011, of Brookeville, MD. Beloved husband and loving childhood sweetheart of the late Mary M. Amato; father of Angela Marie (Domenico) Bonaccorsy, Anna “Annie” Maria Amato, and Mary Margaret (Michael P.) Farrell; grandfather of Joseph and Nick Bonaccorsy, JoAnna F. (Andy) Baldwin and Laura Marie (Johnathon) Farrell-Smith; great-grandfather of Lauren Grace Bonaccorsy, Katelyn Joy Bonaccorsy, Valerie Rose Baldwin, and Kyle Andrew Baldwin; brother of Emil Amato; brother-in-law of Mary A. Amato. Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD, on Thursday, December 22, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mended Hearts, Inc., National Capital Area, Chapter 94, Washington Adventist Hospital, 7600 Carroll Avenue, Takoma Park, MD 20912.
