MARIA DE LA PAZ ALVAREZ “PACITA” (Age 79)

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Washington, DC. She was predeceased by her parents, Modesto and Francisca Alvarez, sister Christina Alvarez, and daughter Luz Rosales. She is survived by her five sons; one brother and two sisters; a sister-in-law, five daughters-in-law; twenty-one grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of additional family and many loving friends.

Relatives and friends can join the Alvarez family at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7501 Adelphi Rd., Hyattsville, MD 20783, for a vigil on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 10 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church followed by Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906. Flowers may be sent to the church.
