Beloved wife of the late Leonard Scheer; mother of Leonard Michael, Patricia Ann, Mary Katherine and Jon Christopher; grandmother of Judith Longley, Jordan Scheer, Brian Scheer, Brendan Bessel, Matthew Bessel, Jon Scheer, Catherine Scheer and the late Richard Walsh; great grandmother of Jason Walsh, Brittany Lyne and Joseph Longley. Great-great-grandmother of Fitzgerald “Fitz” Parker Lyne. Died on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at his home in Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Susan (Powers); devoted father of Brett and Scott (Christine Roberts) Meyer; adoring grandfather of Kaden and Cora Meyer; brother of Kathleen Taggart, Christine Burris, Stephen and Matthew Meyer; son of the late Robert Herbert and Catherine Audrey Meyer. A Memorial Service will be held at Brookside Gardens, 1800 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton, MD on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 1 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.

Marvin, Alice M. Heidel (Charles F. Heidel); sister of the late Frances W. Phillips. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He taught at Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary High School, Monte Bello, CA prior to beginning his teaching at Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School, Takoma Park, MD in 2008. Douglas W. Howard passed away peacefully on April 8, 2019. He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Rachel H. Howard, and grandson, Josh. He is survived by his children, Nola, Jack, Dawn, Denny, Aileen, Richard, Frances, Dave, Lorraine, Mary Pat, Matt, Ann, Kathy, Cindy, and Frank. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in the future.
