BRIEFS, Henry J. “Hank”

HENRY J. “HANK” BRIEFS

Henry J. “Hank” Briefs, 66, died on October 4, 2019, of cardiac arrest. He was born on July 9, 1953, in Chicago, IL, and grew up in Cabin John, MD. He was a loyal employee of NZI Construction Corporation. He leaves behind his beloved wife Angela Monahan Briefs, son Matt Metzger, stepson Mike Ruiz (Anna), stepdaughter Kristina Khalili (Porya), two granddaughters, and a grandson. Also left to grieve are his siblings Cathie Schorn (John), Patsy Bartels (Chris), Steven, Peter, Ginny Georg (Denny), Margie, Chrissy, Rick (Jayne) and Michael; three nieces, five nephews, and many dear friends. Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, from 10-11 a.m. at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, 70 University Blvd. Silver Spring, MD; followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Burial at Old St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rockville, MD.

On Friday, October 4, 2019, of North Bethesda, MD originally from Georgetown, Guyana. Son of the late Birch and Sarah Daly, Former Husband of Lucille Daly; father of Sandra Daly, Gail (Nick) King, the late Paul Daly, Selwyn (Renee) Henry, Marcia Daly and the late Deborah Daly; grandfather of Kirk Daly, Janelle Henry, Holly Henry, Sarah Ryan, Nicholas King, Amanda Daly, Rachel King, Katelyn King, Leah Daly and Imani Archer; great-grandfather of Ariana Daly, Jamel Johnson, Nyema David, Khari David and Ellington Ryan; brother of Dr Leland Daly, the late Kevil Daly, the late Birchelene Knight, the late Desmond Daly and the late Evelyn Nedd.

On Sunday, September 29, 2019, of Olney Maryland, the beloved widow of the late Nathan Jackson, Sr. and the former wife and lifelong friend of the late Sylvester E. Walker.  She leaves to honor her life and mourn her passing; her daughters, Linda M. Hamilton (Dennis Phillips) of Mattapan, MA, Eugenia Walker Warren (Michael Warren) of Spring Hope, NC.  Sons, Richard A. Walker, of Waldorf, MD, Stanley E. Walker (Sheila Breen) of Glenn Dale, MD, and Nathan N.
