On Saturday, June 3, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD.  Beloved wife of Fazil Deen; mother of Omar C. Deen, Jeremy F. Deen, Stefon D. Deen, Nicole M. Cannito, Andrew N. Deen, and Michael K. Deen; daughter of Clement and Mary Angela Rodrigues; sister of Ronald Rodrigues, Pauline Dublin, and the late Francis Rodrigues;  and loving Grandmother to Joshua Deen, Anissa Deen, Olivia Deen, Sebastian Deen, Nicholas Deen, Caleb Deen,  Isabelle Cannito, Christian Deen, Dominic Deen, Emma Cannito, Amelia Cannito, and Peter Cannito.  Also survived by many loving family members and friends.  Relatives and friends may call at St. Bernadette’s Church, 72 University Blvd. East, Silver Spring, MD, 20901, Tuesday, June 6, from 5 to 8 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernadette’s Church, Wednesday, June 7,  at 11 am.  Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. CHARLES G. JACKSON, JR. (Age 86)
On Sunday, May 28, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD, Charles G. Jackson, Jr, peacefully entered into eternal rest at home in the grace of his loving family. Charles was born December 1, 1930 in Cedar Grove, WV. He completed school and entered his career of service in the Air Force as a Master Sergeant, Cryptographer. After he completed his four-year service tour, he relocated to Washington, DC where he and Yvonne Lane were joined in marriage and were later joined by their son, Juan. In 1995, they welcomed the addition of their daughter-in-law, Donna, into their loving family.
Charles continued his ongoing education at local universities in Washington, DC for Technical Information Management. He joined the State Department; served an additional 50 years of dedicated service; and reported to the Office of each subsequent Secretary of State and retired in 2007. Charles’ life is celebrated by his family and friends who continue to cherish his memory with thanksgiving and love.
Memorial Service at Christ Church Parish, 4001 Franklin Street, Kensington, MD on Wednesday, June 7 at 11 a.m. Interment Rock Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Home Care and Hospice, 10720 Old Columbia Pike, 2nd Floor, Silver Spring, MD 20901.

Lawrence, Sr. (2002); mother of Rita McLaughlin, Janet Thornton (Robert), Deborah Navarro (John), Alicia Jarboe (Floyd), Marian Cascio (Wayne), Ellen Longo (Joseph), Geralyn Roberson (Paul), Frederic Lawrence (Louise), and Teresa “Caree” Vander Linden (Richard); mother-in-law of Helen Lawrence; sister of Alicia Rita Bird. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son, Sydney Lawrence, Jr. and sons-in-law Ronald McGowan and William McLaughlin.
