Beloved wife of the late Joseph Anthony Monaldo; mother of Frank (LaDonna), Maria Bender, Tino (Sheri), and Michael (Valerie); grandmother of Jeremy (Marci), Justin (Jessica), Jessica Armstrong (Anthony), Luke (Stephanie), Joseph, Nicholas, Anna Maria, Dante, Dominic, and Marcus Monaldo and Ryan, Bradley, and Andrew Bender; great grandmother of Aliza, Tyler, Gavin, and Maren Monaldo; survived by her sister Rosina Mazzotta; sisters-in-law Teresa Monaldo Kropfl (Walter), Elizabeth Monaldo Glakas (Pete), and numerous nieces and nephews. Josephine was born in Filadelfia, Italy and came to the United States in 1954. She raised her four children while an active parishioner of St. Andrews the Apostle Catholic Church for over 50 years. Despite having limited education in Italy, she made sure her children graduated college. ODELL, Susan Lambert

SUSAN LAMBERT ODELL (Age 65)
Passed away on April 13, 2017, at Holy Cross Hospital. She graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and went to work as a Forester in the US Forest Service. She retired in 2007 as the National Coordinator for Rural Community Assistance for the USFS. She was the Lay Leader of her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vance Leon Lambert, Sr., and Ivy Jean Lambert. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Curtis Earl Odell, and by her son, Christopher Lambert Odell. Also surviving her are three sisters, Audrey J. Lambert, Nancy L. Hatcher, and Valerie L. Hatcher, as well as one brother, Vance Leon Lambert, Jr. She will be interred at the Trinity Cemetery located on her family’s farm in Bland County, Virginia. A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, with visitation at 10 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m., at the Hughes United Methodist Church, 10700 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring (Wheaton), MD.

On Monday, April 10, 2017, Richard Lee Huff of Silver Spring, MD passed into the presence of his Lord.   He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara Ann Huff; father of Richard A. Huff and Lee Ann (Douglas) Wahler;  grandfather of Rebecca and Jonathan Wahler; brother of Kathleen (John) Transue.  He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
