On Sunday, July 31, 2016, of Montgomery County, MD. Beloved father of Yancey P. Kruger; son of the late William H. Kruger, III and the late Marie M. Kruger; brother of Randy Kruger and his wife, Dora; former spouse of Caroline C. Kruger. Also survived by one uncle, many nieces and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church – Bailey’s Crossroads, 3439 Payne Street, Falls Church, VA, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 3 pm. Interment private.

On Monday, August 1, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Bethesda, MD. Beloved husband for 59 years of the late Claire E. Falatko; father of Francis, Jr. “Skip” (Flo), Bill (Sandy), and Dave (Julie); brother of Albert and the late Joseph Falatko. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and other loving family and friends. He was a long-time parishioner at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Bethesda. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus- Rock Creek Council. Relatives and friends may call at Church of the Resurrection at Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD on Friday, August 5, 2016, from 10 to 11 a.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Richard A. Dickson  (Age 95)

Dr. Richard A. Dickson of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016.  He was born in Washington, DC on October 11, 1920.  He was the son of the late Richard Aloysius Dickson, Sr. and Mable (Parsley) Dickson.  He was the husband of the late Mary Margaret Perry Dickson; father of Daniel (Coty) Dickson of Great Falls, VA, John Dickson of San Dimas, CA, Emily Dickson (David) Conrad of Bowie, MD and the late Jean Dickson Arnst (William); and grandfather of Nathan Young, Amy Dean, Karin Arnst, Janet Napier, Patrick Dickson, Travis Conrad, Casey Conrad    and great-grandfather of  eight.  He was a 1938 graduate of McKinley Tech High School in Washington, DC.  After completing two years of college at Georgetown University, he was accepted into Georgetown Dental School graduating in 1944.  Richard was a WWII veteran serving as a dentist in the U.S. Navy.  He was later recalled to active duty during the Korean War.  Richard practiced dentistry in the Silver Spring area for over 54 years.  He was quite an adventurous individual in his younger years.  He participated in many of these adventures with lifelong friends Ralph Rawlings and Arlo Darby.  One of his adventures involved hopping a freight train in Washington DC and traveling to California.  Later in life, he was an avid fisherman and golfer.  He spent many hours fishing for rockfish on the Chesapeake Bay with his longtime friends Andy Matzel and Lawrence Parsley.  When not fishing, he enjoyed golfing with his buddies Frank Junghans and Bill Wilkinson. Interment was at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.  Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate and remember his life at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West Silver Spring, Maryland, on August 13, 2016 at 11am, a reception will follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.

On Thursday, July 28, 2016, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Molly C. Francis; father of James (Truth Ann), Elizabeth (Martin), Richard (Nancy), Christopher (Mia), and the late Geoffrey and Susan. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Chuck was a WWII Navy veteran and participated in the Sicily and Normandy invasions. He worked for the Department of the Navy for 31 years and spent the last 12 years of his career as an executive with the Westinghouse Aerospace Division in Linthicum, MD. Relatives and friends may call at the Chapel at Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD, on Wednesday, August 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 12 Noon. followed by Funeral Service at 12 Noon.
