JAMES NICHOLAS PADAMS (Age 86)
Passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013, of Olney, MD. formerly of East Lyme, CT and born in Fall River, MA. Retired Culinary Arts Teacher at State of Connecticut Technical High Schools and at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Graduate of Durfee High School, Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and University of New Haven. Served his Country in both the Merchant Marines and the Army during WWII. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Peter Paul Maher, Council # 6793. Beloved husband for 51 years of Bertha Padams; father of Nick Padams and Allison Lavigne and husband, John; grandfather of Caitlin and Douglas. Also survived by two nephews, Thomas and Rick Wolstencroft; and niece, Mary Beth Courcier as well as other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Friday, December 6, 2 to 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Church, 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD, on Saturday, December 7, at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
