MANUEL T. ROJAS

Of Berwyn Heights, Maryland, left this world on Sunday afternoon, June 9, 2013 at home surrounded by family. A native of Ecuador, South America, Manuel lived in the US for over 60 years with his beloved wife of 57 years, Maria F. Rojas. Manuel is survived by his wife Maria, seven children, Annette, Marie Louis Altemus, Patricio, Rudolf, Thomas, Constance Macy and Rene. He is also survived by his sister Francis Estella of Quito, Ecuador. He also has seven grandchildren. Manuel worked at the Catholic University of America for over 25 years in Accounts Management and also in professorial capacities. He had many hobbies and talents, including calligraphy and languages, speaking Italian and French fluently. He and his wife enjoyed a long retirement period where they travelled the world widely and also enjoyed watching their grandchildren grow up.  DR. GEORGE ALBERT STEVENS

 On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Margaret McKee Stevens; father of Irene and Mary Ellen (Timothy) Stevens; grandfather of Evan and Ryan. He was preceded in death by four siblings. Dr. Stevens was a Professor Emeritus with The Department of Agriculture Economics at the University of MD College Park. He was a WW II veteran who served in the US Army and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the European Theatre Ribbon with five Battle Stars for campaigns throughout Europe where he served as a Tank Destroyer Unit Comdr. Graveside service and inurnment Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium at a later date.
