Of Silver Spring, MD passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Denzil was a scientist, physicist, outdoorsman and family man. As an early oceanographer, he led underseas habitat programs such as Sealab II and Tektite I.

Beloved husband of Ruth J. Pauli; devoted father of Andrew D. (Joop) Pauli and James G. (Dana) Pauli; loved grandfather of Allison, Jennifer and Benjamin; treasured great-grandfather of Matthew, Zachary, Christina and Jessica; cherished brother of Mary Pauli Ebert and Jacquelyn Pauli Benson. Charles worked for the Civil Air Patrol for over 50 years and was the President of the AFA, Thomas W. Anthony Chapter for over 10 years. Also, served as a Chairman for the Pro-Life Knights of Columbus for over 20 years.
