Of Silver Spring, MD, a retired Foreign Service Officer, passed away May 5, 2011 of heart and kidney disease complications. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Bowles Ferchak; loving father of Janet M. Hanlon (Dan); loving grandfather of Jessica D., Sara M. and Sheryl M. He served in the Army during World War II, graduated Georgetown University and joined the Foreign Service in 1952. He received the State Department’s Award for Heroism in 1964. After retiring, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up, gardening and exploring life. KATHERINE ALDWORTH DOLLYMORE

On Wednesday May 4, 2011 of Charlotte, NC, passed away of Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Kathy was born in Stillwater, OK, March 10, 1962, daughter to Catherine K. Aldworth and the late James Aldworth. She was a proud graduate of Clemson University in 1984. Most recently, she was employed by Gap Inc. for 15 years as a District Manager of Gap and Baby Gap retail stores. The proudest achievement of Kathy’s life was giving birth to triplets in 2002. Kiley, James and Caroline were the lights of her life. In spite of the dreadful illness that had stricken her, Kathy proclaimed Mommy as the crown jewel of her life. As well as her children and her loving mother, survivors include her beloved husband, John L. Dollymore and two loving sisters, Betsy Franks and Susan Aldworth. “Pop” (Age 92)

Passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 in Silver Spring, MD, surrounded by family members. He was born on January 19, 1919 in Washington, DC to William and Alice Mould. He graduated from St. Aloysius School and attended Gonzaga High School before graduating from Eastern High School and Catholic University’s Columbus School of Business. Ed retired from the U.S. Government in 1972 after a distinguished career as a Special Agent with the Treasury Department. Ed and his wife, Kathleen, lived in Cheverly, MD for 47 years, where they raised their family and Ed was active in the St. Ambrose Holy Name Society, St. Vincent De Paul Society and the Cheverly Pool. They later lived in Annapolis and Silver Spring, MD. Ed was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 69 years, Kathleen Salb Mould and a dedicated and steadfast father to his five children: William E. Jr. (Louise) of Silver Spring, MD, Thomas M. (Nancy) of St. Augustine, FL, James P. (Debbie) of Smith Mountain Lake, VA, Kathleen C. Mroz (Jack) of Jacksonville, FL and Alice M. Briese (Byron) of Edisto Beach, SC. He cherished his role as a proud grandfather to his 12 grandchildren: Jeffrey Mould, Nicole Dennis, Valerie Miller, Elizabeth Altizer, Melissa Mroz, Jonathan Mroz, Julia Mroz, Brieanne Mould, James Mould, Shannon Aissen, Drew Briese and Maria Briese and great-grandfather to his 17 great-grandchildren. He is survived by two brothers, John and Owen Mould and three sisters, Jean Barnes, Mary Elizabeth Koberstein and Margaret Delean.
