Of Citrus Hills, FL, formerly of Davidsonville, MD passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Cedar Creek ALC, in the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. She was born in Takoma Park, MD on January 8, 1923, to Clarence and Ruth Whilden Palmer. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, John M. Fister; her son James Thomas Fister; and her brothers, Irving and Robert Palmer. She is survived by her daughter Judy (Carl) Wilbert, of Citrus Hills, FL; sister of Adele Williams, of Deltona, FL and Dr. William (Marybel) Palmer of Chehalis, WA; sister-in-law of Mary Fister Haskins; grandmother of James (Jessica) Fister Jr., of Waterville, NY, John M. Fister, III of Los Angeles, CA, Brian W. (Stacey) Hurt of Alpharetta, GA, and Nicole Fister (Brian) Shaw of Beltsville, MD; great-grandmother of Hailey, Joshua, Gabrielle, Abigail, Sophia, Jillian, and James, III. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and family members. Of Wheaton, MD, on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, of Alzheimer’s disease. Born December 24, 1929, in Clifton, TX to Selmer T. and Anna Seljos. He was a graduate of the US Naval Academy (1952), US Naval Postgraduate School and John Hopkins University. After retiring from the Navy, he was employed for 23 years by RCA and Lockheed Martin. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Jane Seljos, and two sons, Charles (Amanda) of Wheaton, MD, and James (Sonia) of Bailey, CO.
