DOROTHY ANN COBB

On Friday, December 11, 2009, in Lakeland, FL, formerly of Silver Spring, MD. Dorothy (nee Goodman) Cobb began her professional career as a dancer, to include performing with the USO. She later retired from the IRS as an Executive Associate. She and her husband of 62 years, Dick Cobb, were avid travelers and Life Master Tournament bridge players. Dorothy took up karate at age 45 becoming a 1st grade Brown Belt at 50. Her husband, Richard E. “Dick” Cobb died this past August. She is the beloved mother of Richard E. Cobb, Jr.; cherished grandmother of Jake L. Cobb, Lucas R. Cobb, Megan S. Rienzo and Morghan M. Cobb; loving great-grandmother of Samantha Rienzo, Kendra Rienzo, James Lee Cobb, Patricia Evelyn Cobb and Lucas R. Cobb, II. Dorothy is also survived by her sister, Elaine Lankford. On Tuesday, December 8, 2009, of Parkton, MD, passed away at her home. She was born to the late John and Catherine Wildman, March 24, 1942 in Washington, DC. Mary Ann graduated from Academy of the Holy Names High School. She lived in Frederick, MD before moving to Monkton in 1991. Mary Ann was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church and Hayfield”s Country Club. She loved to read and travel the world. She was employed by 1st Mariner Mortgage for the last 14 years. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Carroll; and six children, Michael Looney, Potomac, MD, Mary Beth Norwood, Millers, MD, James Looney, Colorado Springs, CO, Joseph Looney, Pasadena, MD, Lindsay Carroll and Jordan Carroll, of Glen Burnie, MD. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, a sister, Kathy Ann and brother, Johnny. Family and friends will honor Mary Ann’s Life at the family owned Francis J.
