MAX ADRIEL TABARES

On Wednesday, October 14, 2009 both of Berkeley Springs, WV and Potomac, MD. Max, 24, suddenly of cardiac arrest passed on to be with Jesus and join his father in Heaven. To those of us who knew him, he was full of love and life, kind, compassionate, charming, with an endearing sense of humor. Beloved son of Carolyn Curro Tabares Smith and the late Roberto Tabares, Jr. Max is also survived by his loving step-father Peter F. Smith, who came into his life at an early age and was always there for him. Max had two devoted, protective brothers Robert and Ruben, who will love him eternally. Also left behind are loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many other special friends and family who will miss him. WALTER RICHARD BOEHNER, JR.

Walter passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009. He was born on March 28, 1951 in Boston and grew up in Oakview with his paretns, Walter and Marie and sister, Betsy.  He attended St. Camillus grade school, graduated from Gonzaga College High School in 1968, and completed his BA at GWU in 1973, where he met his wife of 27 years, Nina. He worked in the messenger-delivery industry, retiring in 2007. His knowledge of DC area agencies, businesses and addresses was encyclopedic. Walter loved riding his motorcycle, his cats, music, art, and bonsai trees. He was a loving husband, son,  brother, uncle, cousin, and great friend to many and will be dearly missed.  Family and friends will gather for a  memorial service to honor his life at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2009  at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. W., Silver Spring, MD 20901. STOVER, Charles

CHARLES MAJOR STOVER

On Thursday, October 8, 2009, just four days shy of his 80th birthday. Born in Clifton Forge, VA. Charles, the son of the late Mary Margaret Major and Charles Otto Stover, moved to Washington, DC and graduated from Calvin Coolidge High School. After serving in the Army Corp of Engineers, he returned to the city he loved. As an architect, he worked on many District buildings, but most notably the historic renovations of The Willard and The Smithsonian Institute. And up until recently, he was a sought-after specification writer. Known to his friends as Charlie, he was a tireless volunteer including the Boy Scouts of America for 15 years and The Holy Name Society. He was also a member and a fellow of The Construction Specifications Institute, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and others too numerous to mention. Charles is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 54 years, Grace; and loved by his children, Gaetana (Edmund) McGill, Mark (Marlene Appleton) Stover and Charles (Margaret Jones) Stover. Also survived by grandchildren, Thomas and Claire McGill.
